Our model, Rachel walked in the door on this gorgeous Spring day sporting a fresh, golden tan and her freckles as brilliant as ever, courtesy of a Fiji work trip. I was inspired by the tropical vibes to do this vibrant green on her and she pulled it off perfectly. We were lucky enough to pair up with the Animal Alliance Rescue Foundation, San Bernardino for this amazing shoot. CEO Michelle, and her volunteer, Lori were so sweet and actually brought us two beautiful ladies for us to meet, Sophie & Gracie. For this particular post, we are featuring the shot with little Gracie but we will be posting plenty of pictures of the two of them so we can find both of them the forever home they so desperately deserve! This nonprofit organization's main goal is to get out the message of the importance of spay and neuter so less animals will be abandoned or sent to shelters to die. They rescue shelter animals, medical needs animals, and abused and owner relinquish dogs. All animals are health assessed, altered and made current on vaccines and are healthy and emotionally ready for adoption. Animal Alliance Rescue is run mostly through donations and is a foster based organization so all animals are in home environments until they find their forever home. Gracie is currently up for adoption and we know that this sweetheart will make the perfect companion. She is about 8 years old. She was so laid back and well behaved on the shoot and had no problem being held the whole time! She also got along very well with the other dog, Sophie whom she just met. Unfortunately, Gracie's life hasn't been the easiest. At seven years old Gracie was dumped at the shelter with two new born pups. Labeled as "Rescue Only" her and her pups had until the end of that day for a rescue to take them or they would have been euthanized. Animal Alliance Rescue Foundation stepped in and got them. Gracie raised her pups and both were adopted. About 6 months later Gracie found what she thought would be her forever home. But after a few months Animal Alliance received a call saying Gracie was at the shelter again. Her new owner didn't want her anymore and dumped her as a stray. Thankfully she was microchipped and the shelter contacted them. Now she needs someone to show her what it's like to have unconditional love. She is potty trained if she is brought outside regularly but she may have an accident at times. With her silly little walk, white face and big eyes you can't help but to love her.
