Our all women team brought the energy and good vibes on this shoot and the results were truly magical. Lush Cosmetics provided me with some of their gorgeous products from their makeup line and to be honest, I wasn't even aware that they had a makeup line so you can imagine my excitement to test them out. I was blown away by how beautiful they looked on our model, Daria and even more impressed by how well they photographed. They created the most radiant glow on Daria's skin and blended like a dream. (Just FYI- I was a huge fan of NARS liquid blush in Orgasm but because of their recent decision to move into the China market and therefore removing their cruelty-free status, I was forced to find replacements for my once beloved products from them and to my surprise, the Lush lipstick in Perspective when used on the cheeks proved to be a perfect dupe!)
Lush Cosmetics is an amazing cruelty-free company who is taking a strong stance against animal testing. They have created the Lush Prize in an attempt to award those who are making great strides in this fight. The Lush Prize is the world’s largest annual prize fund in the non-animal testing sector annually awarding $445,000 USD to scientists and campaigners from across the world, seeking to end animal testing. We also teamed up with the LA Rabbit Foundation who brought us this beautiful female rabbit, Bit O'Honey to shoot with. They are such a wonderful organization who has made it their mission to help abandoned domestic rabbits. Not only do they foster and rehabilitate rescued rabbits until they find their forever homes, they are an amazing resource for accurate rabbit care. We were fortunate enough to spend some time with Anna, one of the volunteers at LA Rabbit Foundation. She was so kind and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions regarding proper handling and what to expect when adopting a rabbit. If you would like more information on adopting, volunteering, or donating to this great foundation, please visit their website here.
Bit O' Honey
This little lady was a tad nervous at first but after a short bonding session with Daria, she seemed to ease up and her personality was able to shine through. She was so calm and relaxed and proved to be a real cuddler. She would make a wonderful companion to someone who understands the responsibility and commitment needed to raise one of these beautiful animals in their home. She is a lion head dwarf bunny approximately 6 months old, spayed, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Bit O'Honey or another rabbit on the LA Rabbit Foundation website, you can start by filling out one of their adoption applications. You can also attend one of their adoption events on Saturdays & Sundays to meet one of these angels. Find info on the events here.
If you are not able to adopt but would love to help save bunny lives, the LA Rabbit Foundation is always in need of volunteers and fosters. More information on fostering is available here.
